One view for typing. Another view for formatting.
To help you stay focused on writing instead of formatting, Highland keeps the writing (Editor) and formatted presentation (Preview) of your document separate.
To see what your document looks fully formatted, click this toggle in the menu bar or press ⌘ E.
To learn more about the Editor, take a look at these links:
Preview shows you the actual PDF that Highland exports from your text file. Highland can format your writing using these included templates:
The friendly blue button at the bottom of the Preview exports your formatted document as a PDF. You can also go to File > Save as PDF...
You can also select File > Export as to convert your document to another format, including Final Draft’s .fdx and .rtf

You may occasionally get an error when opening a copy of your script exported to Final Draft’s .fdx format. An unexpected or irregular character in the document can cause this. Double check this with a free XML Verification tool, which shows if something in the document created the error.

Printing works like any other application. Press ⌘ P or File > Print… from the File menu to open the printer dialog box. Any settings you select in the Preview will carry over.
