Guiding Principles

Your work is your own. Anything you create in these apps, from a full screenplay in Highland to the notes saved in Weekend Read belongs to you.

Your work is private. We can’t see, edit, or retrieve your files. We don’t make copies. We don’t store copies. Your work never touches our servers.

We only collect information to make our apps better. We’re only interested in usage trends and other information that can help us make decisions about app development and promotion.

The data we collect is anonymous. We’re sure you’re a nice person, but we don’t want to know who you are are anything about you as a person. Any usage data we collect is anonymized and we try not to collect any information that could be linked back to your identity.

What information Quote-Unquote Apps collects

Highland Pro

We collect anonymous stats on how many active users are using the app and what features they’re using.

We collect crash reports to help us find and fix bugs. Some crash reports might have internal logs attached to them, but these logs will never include any user identifiable information or any of your content.

Some windows use web pages to feed content into the app. These might connect to analytics via Google or Notion.

Queries using /lookup may travel to an outside service before returning an answer.
